Recognizing that faculty and staff are productive artists in their own right, the show intends to celebrate the academic tradition in which established artists lead new generations of artists, while the students inspire them in return. Frida Cano* and Claudia Schidlow, current EMS students, develop a project in which collaboration between students and faculty occurs. Both the Diego Rivera and Swell Galleries at Graduate campus will function as the laboratory in which this adventure will happen. The space and light conditions of Diego Rivera Gallery will encourage more traditional work to be displayed, in comparison with Swell Gallery where media based works will take place.
